Does the shoe make the woman?

While I’m usually not keen in giving that much credit to materialism, there is some underlying mystical power about shoes.

I get this unexplainable high when I’m met with the perfect shoe, a sole mate if you will. I think its the sense of accomplishment in finding the right shoe that aids the high; like a hunter and its prey.

Whether you want to agree with me or not, slip into the wrong shoe and you don’t feel like yourself. You’re uncomfortable and your feet may feel like they’re shouting at you to fling ’em off. BUT nestle into the right shoe and you feel like Wonder Woman.

Shoes will definitely make or break an outfit, so following up my 10 Wardrobe Essentials are these 10ish shoes that will polish off any outfit. Think of the following shoes as the reliable ones, the ones that will always be there for you everyday, for any event, and any outfit dilemma. We can refer to these as the “dummy shoes” the no brainers that will complete any outfit without any effort. I’m confident any of these shoe essentials will work out for you and you can always refer back to these when you’re unsure of what to wear. While I still urge you to explore the world of shoes and all it has to offer (please join me in my obsession), these shoe essentials will always have your back.

Harvest Moon

Nothing speaks more to me than a beautiful full moon, okay maybe the sun….I think I’m most definitely a sun child. You know how some people feel more connected to the moon, well I tend to feel most alive in the sun. I can never dream about moving away to a place that doesn’t get sunshine 355 days out of the year. I feel so energized and that’s why I don’t even mind that here in Los Angeles we haven’t experienced a proper fall, in how long? Global warming is that you? Nonetheless, I still like to get into the fall spirit and incorporate warm tones inspired by the changing leaves that other places in the country get. (more…)
